Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will visit Madrid on November 6, where he will hold talks with his Spanish counterpart, Josep Borrell, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

"On November 6, at the invitation of the Spanish side, a working visit of the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry to Madrid will take place. Detailed negotiations are underway with his Spanish counterpart, Foreign Minister, European Union affairs and Spanish cooperation," Zakharova said during a briefing.
According to her, the ministers plan to discuss issues of bilateral relations, as well as the interaction of the two countries in the international arena on topical issues.

"During the talks, the two ministers will have to review the state of affairs on the European continent, and the ministers will conduct a reconciliation of hours on bilateral cooperation at leading international platforms, in particular the UN, OSCE, CoE, OPCW," she added, noting that issues of strategic stability, Russian relations with the EU and NATO.
