A meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) on the peaceful settlement of the situation in eastern Ukraine is taking place in Minsk, Belarus.
“The Trilateral Contact Group on the settlement of the situation in eastern Ukraine is holding the meeting in Minsk,” the Foreign Ministry of Belarus reported on Twitter.
Earlier, Ukraine's representative in the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group, First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko said that Ukraine at a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk would urge Russia and its puppets in the occupied Donbas to immediately dissolve all fake “parliaments” and “governments” in ORDLO and create a subgroup on border issues.
Gerashchenko noted that the meeting in the Minsk format took place on November 22 for the first time after the holding of pseudo-elections by Russia in the occupied Donbas.
As reported, President Petro Poroshenko appointed Yevhen Marchuk as Ukraine’s representative in the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) for the peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas. Former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma left the post of Ukraine's representative in the TCG on October 2.
