Selena Gomez has been crowned the world’s top Instagram celeb – despite having less followers than several of her rivals, The Sun reported.

The study was conducted by experts of the Hype Auditor platform, which determines the degree of user involvement: the program eliminates the false celebrity followers and reveals the number of real ones. Then these data are provided to customers for making decisions about advertising based on price-quality ratio. Gomez is not a leader in the number of followers (151 million people), but each of her photos has 4.6 million likes.

The site also reveals that most of her fans – 14% - live in India and that 58 % per cent are women.

Kylie Jenner comes in at two also with 3.6 million likes per post from her 137 million fans – 24% of whom live in the US.

Kim Kardashian is at six. She gets around 1.6 m likes a pop from her 141.2million fans – with a third living in the States.
