The annual exchange rate of the national currency is expected to reach UAH 27.4 per U.S. dollar by the end of 2019, UAH 28.2 per U.S. dollar in 2020, and UAH 29.4 per U.S. dollar in 2021, according to the latest Finance Ministry’s macroeconomic report.
The hryvnia exchange rate against the U.S. dollar (on average for the period) is expected to be at the level of UAH 27.4 per U.S. dollar in 2019, UAH 28.2 per U.S. dollar in 2020, UAH 29.4 per U.S. dollar in 2021, UAH 30 per U.S. dollar in 2022.

The Finance Ministry noted that due to the favorable situation in the foreign exchange market, the exchange rate strengthened by 5.1% (in May 2019 compared with December 2018). Ukraine’s gold and foreign exchange reserves amounted to USD 19.4 billion, which covers 3.2 months of imports.
