Prince William's wife Kate Middleton picked for her son, Prince George, affordable navy sneakers, Footwear News reported.

At the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day in Wokingham, Prince George wore the brand’s laceless canvas sneaker, the Plum, in navy, while the style retails for $34.

In May 2018, Prince George was called a provincial for appearing at the royal wedding in trousers.

According to etiquette expert William Hanson, boys from the royal family, who have not yet turned seven years old, are supposed to go out in public exclusively in shorts.

"It's a very English thing to dress a young boy in shorts," explains the etiquette expert William Hanson. "Trousers are for older boys and men, whereas shorts on young boys is one of those silent class markers that we have in England. Although times are (slowly) changing, a pair of trousers on a young boy is considered quite middle class – quite suburban. And no self-respecting aristo or royal would want to be considered suburban. Even the Duchess of Cambridge.”
