
























In June 2019, Ukrainian steelworkers cut production by 3% compared with June 2018 down to 1.659 million tonnes, while retaining the 13th position in the list of world’s largest steel producers.
As of the end of June, China traditionally kept its leadership in global steel production with an output of 87.5 million tonnes, the World Steel Association reports.
China is followed by: India (9.3 million tonnes, + 4%), Japan (8.8 million tonnes, + 0.4%), the United States (7.3 million tonnes, + 3.1%), South Korea (6.0 million tonnes, -2.6%), Germany (3.4 million tonnes, -5.8%), Brazil (2.8 million tonnes, -3.1%), Turkey (2.7 million tonnes, -11%).
