
























In Ukraine, operating banks in January-June 2019 received UAH 31 billion ($1.23) in profit, four times the figure reported for the same period last year. The National Bank of Ukraine reported on its website that banks' revenues for the indicated period increased by 31% to UAH 121 billion ($4.78 billion) and expenses – by 7%, to UAH 90 billion ($3.56 billion).
As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank expects further profit growth in Ukraine's banking system in 2019 following a historic maximum recorded in 2018 at UAH 21.7 billion ($858 million). This was preceded by four consecutive years that yielded no profit.
