U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine negotiations Kurt Volker has expressed disappointment over the latest shelling of Ukrainian military by Russian-backed forces in Donbas that took lives of four Ukrainian military. "Extremely disappointed with new ceasefire violations, leading to 4 Ukrainian soldiers killed by Russian led forces," Volker wrote on Twitter Tuesday, Aug 5. The diplomat added that the attack occurred "at a time when the new Ukrainian President is making gestures for peace." As UNIAN reported earlier, in response to a deadly shelling in Donbas that killed four Ukrainian troops President Volodymyr Zelensky urged the Normandy Four leaders to meet as soon as possible to resume negotiations on Donbas settlement.
