Representatives of the Ukrainian Social Insurance Fund have held a meeting with representatives of the mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), according to the Social Insurance Fund’s press service.
"The financial state of the Ukrainian Social Insurance Fund was discussed, in particular, budget performance for the first eight months of 2019, projected revenues and expenses by the end of the current year and the Fund’s draft budget for 2020," reads the report.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the IMF mission, Deputy Social Policy Minister Oleh Koval, Head of the Department of State Supervision of the Activities of the Pension and Social Insurance Funds of the Social Policy Ministry, Maksym Zatserkovnyi, representatives of the Ukrainian Finance Ministry, acting Director of the Fund’s Executive Directorate Serhiy Nesterov, deputy directors and heads of independent structural divisions of the Fund’s Executive Directorate.

In particular, during the meeting, the forecast was represented for the implementation of the Fund’s budget by the end of 2019, as well as projected expenses for 2020, considering the growth rate of the average wage and inflation.

In addition, IMF representatives Sergio Sola, Csaba Feher and economist of the IMF Representative Office in Ukraine Ihor Shpak discussed possible ways to cover the budget deficit of the Ukrainian Social Insurance Fund.
