Turkey’s position regarding the annexation of Crimea and the territorial integrity of Ukraine remains unchanged; and attempts to legitimize the annexation of the peninsula will not influence Turkey’s policy on this issue.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry said this while commenting on the holding of the so-called "Turkish-Crimean Economic Forum" in Istanbul, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"Turkey’s position regarding Ukraine is clear. We support the territorial integrity of Ukraine and do not recognize the illegal annexation of Crimea. We have no official contact with the de facto authorities of Crimea. Attempts to legitimize the annexation of Crimea will not have an impact on our policy," the ministry said in a comment.
