The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on Friday evening strengthened the official hryvnia exchange rate by 26 kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 24.61 to the dollar.

The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for October 5: US$100 costs UAH 2,461.1821 (UAH 2,487.7122 as of October 5); EUR 100 costs UAH 2,702.1318 (UAH 2,724.2936 as of October 5); On Friday, October 4, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade settled at UAH 24.78/24.83 to the dollar.
