Over the three quarters of 2019, the National Bank received UAH 1.9 billion of refinancing loans issued to insolvent banks, according to the NBU press service
“Over the first nine months of 2019, the National Bank of Ukraine recovered UAH 1,918.8 million of refinancing loans issued to insolvent banks. This amount mainly includes the funds received from the sale of pledged property (assets) by the Deposit Guarantee Fund,” reads the report.

It is noted that the largest share was due to the sale of property rights, which amounted to UAH 1,434.0 million. Another UAH 232.8 million was received from the sale of real estate.

Property rights pledged to the NBU by PJSC CB Nadra were sold at the highest price – UAH 722.3 million.

In January-September 2018, the National Bank recovered UAH 2.1 billion from refinancing loans of insolvent banks. In general, in 2017-2018, the sum totaled about UAH 5 billion.
