The Czech Republic supports Ukraine in its struggle to restore sovereignty and territorial integrity and condemns Russian aggression in Donbas and illegal annexation of Crimea.
Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babiš said this during a joint briefing with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“I am very glad that I am here and that in ten years the Czech prime minister finally visits Ukraine. I consider this visit to be very important, and I would call it a restart of our relationship … I came to Kyiv to declare that we support Ukraine and its people, we condemn Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine and the illegal annexation of Crimea, and, of course, we support the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders," Babiš said.

The Czech prime minister assured the Ukrainian president that the Czech Republic would continue to provide humanitarian assistance to people affected by the conflict in Donbas.

In this context, Babiš recalled that since 2014 the Czech Republic had provided Ukraine with EUR 15 million.

The Czech prime minister also expressed support for the reform activities carried out by the president and the Government of Ukraine, and noted that all Czech entrepreneurs and investors were watching anti-corruption activities and reform of the legal system in the country.

As Ukrinform reported, a large delegation of businessmen led by Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babiš is on a working visit to Ukraine. The agenda of the visit includes meetings with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk and Speaker of the Parliament Dmytro Razumkov.
