On the occasion of the Day of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces, President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree on state awards for 25 Ukrainian servicepersons.
The text of relevant decree No.854/2019 has been posted on the president’s official website.

According to the document, the soldiers were awarded "for personal courage and selfless actions in protecting Ukraine’s state sovereignty and territorial integrity, exemplary fulfillment of military duty, and on the occasion of the Day of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces."

It is noted that the soldiers were awarded with the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, "For Courage" and the medals “For the Military Service to Ukraine”, “Defender of the Motherland”.

The Day of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces is celebrated in Ukraine on November 21, in accordance with a presidential decree as of November 21, 2017.
