Direct losses of Ukraine’s economy caused by the Russian aggression in 2014-2015 made up about 20% of GDP, while total losses amounted to about UAH 150 billion.
Minister for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture Tymofiy Mylovanov wrote about this on Facebook.

“Direct losses in 2014-2015 amounted to 15-20% of GDP. According to estimates, total losses range from $50 billion to $150 billion (for example, Anders Aslund estimates losses at about $100 billion). And the estimated residual value of real estate in the non-government-controlled areas (Crimea and Donbas) makes up about UAH85 billion,” Mylovanov wrote.

According to Mylovanov, in Crimea and Sevastopol, 57,700 objects of immovable state property with a residual value totaling UAH46 billion were registered. In Donetsk region, there are almost 120,000 such objects, with a residual value totaling UAH 33 billion, and almost 70,000 objects with a residual value totaling UAH23 billion in Luhansk region.

The minister also reminded that according to the estimates of the State Property Fund, about 70% of state assets in Donetsk and Luhansk regions are in non-government-controlled areas.
