
























United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has welcomed the outcomes of the meeting of the leaders of France, Germany, Russia and Ukraine held Paris on December 9.
Stéphane Dujarric, Spokesman for the Secretary-General, stated this, an Ukrinform correspondent in New York reported.
“He reaffirms the strong support of the United Nations for the lead role of the member countries of the Normandy Four, the OSCE Trilateral Contact Group, and the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine in the framework of the Minsk Agreements,” the spokesman said.
The Secretary-General has called on “all concerned to redouble their efforts to build on recent progress towards a resolution of the conflict.”
Guterres has also reiterated his full support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.
As Ukrinform reported, the Normandy Four summit was held in Paris on December 9. It was attended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Russian President Vladimir Putin, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
