U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo plans to visit Kyiv on January 3-4, The Wall Street Journal has reported, with reference to Ukrainian officials.
"Mr. Pompeo's visit is scheduled to take place Jan. 3 to Jan. 4 in Kyiv, according to Ukrainian officials. The secretary is expected to meet with the Ukrainian president, one of the Ukrainian officials added, noting that the meeting was strongly supported by White House," the report reads.

State Department officials, in turn, have not confirmed Pompeo's travel plans.

At the same time, Politico also wrote about Pompeo's plans to visit Ukraine.

"Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, meanwhile, is expected to visit Ukraine next month in a show of support. The trip, confirmed by a Trump administration official, will be Pompeo's first visit to the country as America’s top diplomat," the publication reported.
