
























The Cabinet of Ministers is ready to declare a state of emergency in Ukraine to prevent the spread of coronavirus if necessary.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated this at a special meeting of the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"If necessary, we are ready to introduce a state of emergency in Ukraine, just as most European countries do. If necessary, we are ready for such decisions. Proposals have been already developed and they will be submitted, we have the legislation regulating all these things," said Shmyhal.
As Ukrinform reported, the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday morning convened for an extraordinary meeting to pass bills to prevent the spread of COVID-9.
