On Wednesday, April 29, the Cabinet of Ministers summoned the first meeting of the Anti-Crisis Energy Headquarters chaired by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
During the meeting, the composition of the Anti-Crisis Energy Headquarters was approved and the energy balance of Ukraine presented. In total, the Anti-Crisis Headquarters consists of 32 members, according to the Government portal.

Opening the meeting, the Head of Government emphasized that the current energy crisis faces such challenges so the actions of the authorities must be prompt, effective and concerted. “We are interested in having a ready action plan. Yesterday at a meeting with the President, we spoke about the energy balance of Ukraine having already been signed today. It has been adjusted. We have worked together with key businesses in the industry,” he said.

The Prime Minister also stressed that the key task facing the Government was the need to balance the market and ensure its stability. “We must preserve jobs, especially in the coal and nuclear industries. That is why it is critical to develop synergy in this issue,” said Shmyhal.

Apart from that, the participants discussed the need to adopt a number of legislative and regulatory initiatives that will help stabilize the energy market.
