As of August 8, Ukraine has reported 79,750 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 1,489 new cases recorded over the past 24 hours.
According to data provided by the coronavirus epidemic monitoring system of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, 27 deaths have been reported over the past 24 hours.

Overall, Ukraine has confirmed 1,879 deaths related to the disease and 43,055 recoveries since the start of the pandemic.

Over the past day, the highest number of COVID-19 cases was reported in Lviv region – 154 cases (10,726 in total), Kyiv city - 200 (9,378) and Rivne region - 109 (6,747).

Today, the Government will convene an extraordinary meeting due to deteriorating epidemic situation.

As reported, adaptive quarantine is in force in Ukraine until August 31. Restrictive measures can be relaxed or intensified depending on the epidemic situation in each region.
