The global COVAX Facility has decided to provide an additional 947,700 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine manufactured by Pfizer-BioNTech, according to Deputy Minister of Health - Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Liashko.
"The global COVAX Facility has informed the Ukrainian Ministry of Health about the allocation of an additional 947,700 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine manufacture by Pfizer-BioNTech," Liashko wrote on his Facebook page.

According to him, deliveries of this vaccine are expected until the end of June.

Liashko also reminded that Ukraine would soon receive 117,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine. This vaccine will be used to vaccinate people at asylum and residential aged-care facilities, as well as people working at these institutions.

As reported, Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov expects to sign contracts for the supply of another 15 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines.
